    Since long ago, Ise Station has been widely known among Japanese people as the gateway to Ise. The station is serviced by the JR and Kintetsu lines and can be accessed easily from Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.

    Toyouke-daijingu - Geku (The Outer Shrine of Ise-jingu)

    Toyouke Daijingu, or Geku (The Outer Shrine) is one of two main shrines at Ise Jingu. Visitors customarily go first to the Outer Shrine and then to the Inner Shrine. The Outer Shrine is dedicated to the goddess Toyouke Omikami, who is responsible for the harvest.

    Kotaijingu - Naiku (The Inner Shrine of Ise-jingu)

    Kotai Jingu, or Naiku (The Inner Shrine) is one of two main shrines at Ise Jingu. The shrine is dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami, who is the ancestral kami of the imperial family and the most highly revered kami in the Shinto tradition.

    Oharai-machi, Okage Yokocho (lunch)

    Okage Yokocho is a shopping alley in the heart of Oharai-machi that opened in 1993. The name “okage” means “thankful” and expresses a sense of gratitude toward the shrine. The bustling area has much to offer, from souvenir shopping to snack tasting!

    Toba Station

    A base for travel in Toba, Toba Station is conveniently located for a number of sightseeing spots, including Toba Aquarium, the remains of Toba Castle, and Mitsujima.
    We also encourage visitors to make use of the tourist information office inside the station.

    Mikimoto Pearl Island

    Known as the birthplace of cultured pearl Aquaculture, Mikimoto Pearl Island offers visitors the chance to learn all about pearls, as well as shopping and dining. Moreover, the Island plays host to the performances featuring ama divers in their traditional white cotton “misogi” outfits.

    Ama diver hut experience

    Visitors can enjoy a hands-on experience of the ama diver huts, where the divers warm up before their dives.
    Enjoy dining on delicious fresh seafood while sitting around the fireplace (on the hearth) talking with the friendly divers.
    Visitors have a rare opportunity to hear to current and former divers recount their diving experiences.

    Stay in Toba (eat Ise spiny lobster and abalone)

    One of the pleasures of travelling in Ise-Shima, a city surrounded by nature, is that visitors can indulge in seafood to their hearts’ content.
    The area has so much to offer, from Ise spiny lobster, abalone, and Matsuzaka Beef (one of the big three Japanese beefs) not to mentioned the naturally grown vegetables.
    Guests can enjoy their dinner in Toba at the hotel restaurant.

    Kashikojima Station

    Arrive at Kashikojima Station, the terminal station on the Kintetsu Shima Line. As the name suggests, Kashikojima Station is located on the island of Kashikojima.
    Visitors can enjoy the seas of Ise-Shima here too.

    Kashikojima Espana Cruise, Ago Bay

    Enjoy a trip around Ago Bay in a luxury cruiser complete with a viewing deck on the Kashikojima Espana Cruise! The boat also stops off at a pearl model factory, where visitors can watch the nucleus insertion stage of the pearl culture process.

    Sea food lunch on the Kashikojima

    The area around Kashikojima station is full of Japanese and Western style restaurants. Guests can enjoy exclusive local delicacies, such as whole fish sashimi arranged in its original shape, spiny lobster, and abalone—all for a reasonable price.
    There are also plenty of hot spring facilities nearby, so why not treat yourself to a relaxing soak if you have time!
